Zander is in town for a visit.
Remember my trip to New Hampshire last fall? I went to visit Emily and her family. Emily joined her husband and son, Zander with their three youngest boys last July. For more on that story, click here.
Anyway, Zander is on his Winter Break from school so he came down to visit his Grandparents. In the process - we stole him for the weekend. The house has been a buzz with 12 year old boy activity today. Which has included lots of laughter behind Jarod's bedroom door. It's so fun to see them reunited. They have been best friends since they were 6 and Zander's move has been an adjustment for both of them.
Russ took them to the movies today to see Journey 2 in 3D and they have spent time playing on the Wii, along with talking a lot in Jarod's room. After dinner tonight, we played a game of Left Center Right and now they have settled in to watch Captain America. I'm sure they will stay up late talking tonight and I will have sleepy boys in church tomorrow, but that's how you roll when you only get to see your best friend every once in a while.
I sure wish Emily would have stowed away in his suitcase, but hopefully she and I will be able to get together again soon. So very thankful for special friends that God puts into our lives. It's always fun to just be able to pick up where you left off - no matter how old you are!
