Going outside to play can help make a lot of things better!
Life is good. Jarod's bad day at school has come and gone and things seem to be doing a little better. For now. He goes camping again this weekend and is looking forward to it.
Anne is spending the night at Nana's tonight and is also quite excited!
Russ and I have a Pastor's Appreciation Banquet hosted by the Gideons out at the beach. It should be a fun evening.
We have been very busy the last few weeks and it seems that the closer we get to the end of the school year, the busier things will become. Our church hosted a Community Health Fair last Saturday out at Jacksonville Beach. It was so much fun! We had several people come through and the excitement was contagious. I think the best part for me was working along side my fellow church members. We were able to spend the entire morning together fellow-shipping and serving others together. I just love them!
I was able to give our church a report on ApParent Project and all the exciting things that are happening in Haiti. They are growing and making a difference in the lives of the artisans and I am thrilled to be a small part of it. Our church has helped to contribute over $5000.00 in jewelry sales and we have shipped well over 1000 cereal and cracker boxes to Haiti. Donna Karan of DKNY has gotten involved and the jewelry is about to become even more known around the country. God has placed this ministry in my heart and I don't think it's leaving any time soon.
Not much else going on. Jarod is in the middle of FCAT - the Florida testing. We met with Anne's teacher yesterday and she let us know that Anne is right on target and ready for 1st Grade. Jarod will be in 6th - his last year in Elementary School. Where does time go?
Anne is continuing to prepare for her Dance Recital in June. She is going to be a Blue Bird in "Noah's Ark". Can't wait! Destiny Dance Center always does such a fantastic job!
I'm off for now. Anne's class is going on a Field Trip to the Jacksonville Zoo on Wednesday so we'll have more to blog about. Thanks for all your prayers and words of encouragement concerning Jarod. Especially those of you who encouraged him personally. It meant a lot to me.
Until next time.....
