She is named after a character in the book Ink Heart, that Jarod was reading outside one day when she walked up and wanted to make friends.
Anyone who has been following my blog for a while knows the journey that we have had with this sweet kitty. For those of you who are new - I will try and sum it up.
I am not, and never have been, an animal person. Until now.
Completely unknown to me, Jarod and this little girl became friends.
In September of 2010, this was our view outside our sliding door EVERY morning as she waiting for breakfast.
Yes - I had given in one day and fed her some tuna. I still do not know why. Prodding from my husband, temporary lapse of sanity. Can't answer that.
But within a matter of about a week, she was spayed and in our house recovering from surgery. She hasn't left since.
She didn't have any trouble making herself completely comfortable.
She has come in and taken over, bringing with her her love for pool.
(Blue jiggly ball in the corner pocket)
She also brought with her - the love of Mickey Mouse.
Because everyone knows you can't live here if you don't have some kind of love for the mouse. Even if you are a cat.
When I found this out about her - I bought her her very own Mickey bowl.
I want her to be comfortable in her new home.
And I gave her her very own set of Mouse Ears. After all, she is part of the family.
She has done a great job at pulling her weight around here.
She loves to help with laundry. Especially Anne's. I think it's the pink. She's girly too, ya know.
Although she's pretty good with Russell's dress shirts as well.
She also helps with our mission projects. Getting right in there and helping me sort all the cereal boxes for the ApParent Project.
She guards the boxes of envelopes - just in case.
But most of all she loves to run through her tunnel and scare us all to death as we walk by. She's a bit evil like that, but we love her anyway.
But I think her absolute most favorite thing to do is lay around and be cute.
She's a keeper......
Meggie even has her very own Facebook page. She's cool like that!
