At this time (7:15 pm) 12 years ago, Russ was making me walk around our front yard in Alabama. I was NOT happy with him. I felt fine and did not see the need. Besides it was hot and muggy outside and I was getting all sticky. I came inside to shower and shortly thereafter we were driving to the hospital. Jarod arrived in under 5 hours.
He's been a huge joy in our life ever since.
He asked me to make cupcakes to take to school tomorrow. So, I worked on that this afternoon.
I think they turned out pretty nice.
He thinks so too!
LOVE the idea of asking Winn-Dixie for the cupcake containers! Thanks Sam!!!! Now I know that he can get them there safely.
He's requested chicken enchiladas for dinner tomorrow and on Friday we are going to Red Elephant for dinner and then to play Putt-Putt as a family. The rest of the family comes over Saturday to grill and have another new dessert - Milky Way Cake. We'll let you know how that goes. Goodness - you would think it was his birthday or something! More like a birth-week! That's fine - you only turn 12 once!
12. Twelve. TWELVE? 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-TWELVE!!!!!! Amazing! I'm not ready to have a child who is 12.
You know why?
Because it's only 365 days until THIRTEEN!!!!!!

Hi Cami: I think I goofed up my first comment. I SO enjoy your updates on your family. Jarod's party for his 12th birthday was terrific. Don't worry about age 13because it will come soon enough! After that, comes DRIVING, DATING, INDEPENDENCE, ETC.ETC. Trust me, I know after going thru it with 3 of my own. Take care. Again, I enjoy your updates.
