Last December, our church began collecting cereal/cracker boxes to ship to ApParent Project in Haiti. We began shipping them to Rays of Hope in Michigan.
They collected the boxes each month and then these lovely people -
Packed our boxes - along with a bunch of other really cool stuff - in a Sea Container to take to Haiti.
Don't you just want to hug these guys?
That was in April. It takes a month for the ship to get to Haiti from Michigan and then the container has to sit in Customs for another month. How frustrating for Shelley - knowing everything is just down the road. Sitting.
But then it finally happens - They get our stuff!!!!
Can you see it in the corner - that's our return address! Shelley sent these pics to me this evening.
These are ours too! Rays of Hope called me when they were packing the container and said that some of the shipping boxes were damaged and would not make the trip on the Sea Container. So - they found an old filing cabinet, thinking that Shelley could use that as well, and stuffed it full of our boxes! How cool is that?

So, Anyway - our boxes have arrived!!!! And they are BUSY! BUSY! BUSY!!!
I love this one - her smile is priceless. I have to say that I sat and wept at these photos! We are helping!!! We are making a difference. How awesome is that?
I know that there are more of our boxes in Michigan waiting for the next Sea Container - if they haven't left already - and I just mailed off about 500 more this past week. Thanks again to everyone who has helped! I'm just speechless.
