OOOHHHHH! I'm soooooo excited! I've been waiting weeks to post these and I finally received the digital proofs! I work with a group of wedding professionals at The Wedding Party here in Jacksonville. They recently expanded and brought in Rick Ferro and Tammie Sybelnik of The Wedding and Portrait Photographers. Rick is an international award winning Master Photographer and one of the leading wedding photographers in the nation. Tammie focuses on portraits. She is highly creative and fun and was awarded the North Florida Photographer of the Year for 2009. She loves to build new sets and bring in live animals. She also does outdoor photos on the beach or any other location.
Back in May, Tammie was building a new set for her Fairy Princess photos and asked if Anne could come in and model for her. I immediately agreed. Anne was amazing - she took her little job so seriously and yet loved every minute of it! Of course, she wanted to bring the dress home. I couldn't blame her - it was lovely! Tammie was awesome! Her outgoing and fun personality made Anne feel so comfortable and they had a great time! Anyway - if you are looking for specialty portraits, I highly recommend Tammie! Like I said, she is highly creative and great with kids!
Enjoy!!!!

VBS and More.......
We came home from Youth Camp and hit the ground running! Every week this summer we've had something planned. Whether it be Dance Camp for Anne, or Twilight Scout Camp for Jarod, it's been busy. This week is literally the very first week of absolute nothingness since summer began. Whew!!! I'm loving it! I took my shower this morning and put my PJs back on because I didn't have anywhere to go! How cool is that?
Our house computer was struck by lightning while we were in Orlando so I brought my office computer from the church. I have been able to do all of my church work from right here at home and I cannot begin to tell you how thankful I am for that. Jarod and Anne start school in less than 3 weeks and I will be able to stay on this side of town. God is so good. I knew the running and the craziness was temporary but it was a long year. I'm thankful to be stationary again. Anne's Pre-K was totally worth the sacrifice though - can't believe she will be starting Kindergarten with Jarod at OPE! She had her evaluation testing yesterday and did really well. We went and purchased her school supplies afterward and she is just so excited! I, on the other hand, have very mixed emotions.
I am enjoying focusing on my house again - on my duties of wife and mom. Seems a lot of things got put aside while driving to and from the beaches on a daily basis. Been doing a lot of "spring cleaning" and getting things put back in order. When my house is in chaos, I feel like my life is out of order too. But when it is all together and organized, I feel as though I can take on the world. I think it's a girl thing.
I will have to say though that I was so looking forward to being at home that I overlooked something. In all my running, I was with Russ constantly. We worked together, had lunch together, sometimes we rode together. We were together all day - and we enjoyed it. The first week that I was actually working from home, on about Wednesday, I realized how much I missed him. We are such a great team. I'm so thankful for that! Now though, he is taking Fridays off so we can have a two day break before our week begins on Sunday.
Well, enough of my rambling for now. Wanting to catch everyone up. I have some pictures from the last few weeks. Anne enjoyed her Dance Camp. She went Tuesday - Friday from 9:30 - 1:00. It was almost like a VBS only with dancing in between the bible stories and worship time. She had a blast! I am so thankful for a Christian Dance Studio!!!!

Anne is sitting on the bottom row - 2nd from the right.
After Anne's Dance Camp, we had VBS at Ocean Park. I had the awesome privilege of working with Marc doing puppets! The Lord worked it out each evening for Marc to be able to join us. We have not worked together in several years and it was quite fun. I'm praying about beginning a puppet team at church and this gave puppets exposure. I've had a handful of teens approach me about it so we will keep praying and see what happens. We will be starting from scratch and it will take time.....
Riki, Prissy and Amber
I had a birthday during VBS and they surprised me with a cake and balloons! Very fun!
Happy Birthday to me!
The next week brought Jarod's Scout Twilight Camp. Every evening from 6 - 9:30 he spent his time doing archery, crafts, swimming and BB Guns. I don't know that anything will ever be as cool as our time spent in Oregon, but he had a blast just the same. On Friday, Anne and I got to "Tag Along" and participate with him. Anne had a blast too. She could hang with the big kids.
BB Guns
Anne's turn - love the glasses.
So focused!
Swimming!
Making Ice Cream in a bag
Yumm!!!!! It worked!!!!
Archery
With a little help - she did great!!! She's an expert after doing all these things at the age of 3 while we were in Oregon. Or at least she thinks she is! She still remembers that time well. Can't believe it was 2 years ago.
Well, I think I have you all caught up. Taking a break for a few weeks before we begin the downward slope into fall. Where has the year gone? Until next time......

Privacy Issues
Seems that there are some privacy issue here in the Franklin home. Jarod posted this notice on his door this evening:
This was Anne's retaliation:
Don't worry - he's only threatening with a NERF gun. Ha!
This was Anne's retaliation:
Translation: "Jarod - no 10 year old but when you can get 11 you can come in." Hee! Hee!
And we are only half way through the summer.
Until next time........

Youth Camp - Lake Yale 2010
We took off last Sunday after church for Youth Camp at Lake Yale near Leesburg, FL. I attended this camp as a teen and Russ surrendered to the ministry here when he was 16. We also took our youth from our church in Folkston, GA, so this camp holds many memories for us both.
I'll have to admit that getting myself there was a huge struggle. So many obstacles and I was so tempted to just stay home. But I am thankful now that I didn't as God had great plans for the week. He changed lives and drew us together as we studied about unity. It's always awesome to be a part of something like this.

All of our teens and adults before we piled in the cars to head to camp.
She's just a natural camper! After 6 weeks in the woods in Oregon when she was 3 - this was nothing!
Jarod got to be with the campers this year. He had a great time!
This is Blake and Preston. They are twins and they both adore Anne. Can you tell which one Anne favors? Ugh! We are sooooo in for it!
All 177 campers and adults. It was an awesome week!
Family Shot
One of our teens took this photo of Russ having his quiet time by the Lake at sunrise. LOVE IT!!!!
Also Russ - can't decide which one I like best.
Last but not least - the "Jesus Loves Me Band".
Anne played drums while Blake and Preston sang Jesus Loves Me with our Camp Pastor. You go Anne girl!!!
Now we settle in to a little more normal summer routine. Anne starts Dance Camp on Tuesday and then we have VBS at Ocean Park the following week. Thanks for your prayers and I'll keep you updated......
